I Can, I Will, We Can, We Will: Our Happy Day Habits
The
Moral of the Story:
Happy days begin with habits small
and true, the things we choose again and again to do. Caring for ourselves
helps us grow strong inside. Good choices build confidence, comfort, and pride.
Trying each day matters more than being the best. Effort and kindness outshine the
rest.
I can, and I will help courage stay lit. Good habits today make tomorrow fit.
"I can," said Bunny, as he hopped from
his nest.
I will start my day doing my best.
"We can," said Squirrel, with a
stretch and a spin.
We will get ready from the fur to the chin.
Can you, asked Kitty, with whiskers
so neat.
"You can," said Puppy, "get up on your feet."
Will you, asked Duck, with a quack
and a grin.
I will eat breakfast and nibble right in.
They munched crunchy berries and
carrots so bright,
Starting their morning feeling just right.
"I can," said Bee, "take bites that are
slow."
I will try new foods and give them a go.
"We can," said Frog, "wash paws nice
and clean."
We will scrub with bubbles till paws sparkle and gleam.
"Can you," asked Mouse, "put toys in
their place?"
You can, said Bear, at a steady good pace.
"Will you," asked Lamb, "help tidy the
floor?"
"I will," said Fox, "like I have before."
They stacked up their blocks and
lined up their toys with care.
They cleaned up together, and everyone shared.
"I can," said Owl, "sit quiet and hear."
I will use listening ears far and near.
"We can," said Cow, "take turns and be
kind."
We will use gentle words and patient minds.
"Can you," asked Turtle, "say 'please' and 'thank you'?"
"You can," said Goose. "Those words feel good too."
Will you, asked Otter, try hard when
it’s tough?
"I will," said Mole. "I am brave enough."
They played, and they shared and
waited for their turn.
Helping each other and eager to learn.
"I can," said Ant, "keep trying each
day."
I will not quit when things go astray.
"We can," said all the slow bodies at
night.
We will brush our teeth and turn out the light.
"Can you," asked Moon, "curl up and
rest?"
"You can," said Stars. "Sleep helps you be your best."
"Will you," asked Night, "dream cozy
dreams too?"
"I will," said all, "because we know what to do."
They snuggled in burrows and nests
tucked tight.
Proud of their habits from morning to night.
"I can," said Bunny. "Today felt just
right."
I will do it again with morning light.
"We can," said all, with voices so
bright,
We will build good habits day and night.
"You can," they smiled, as they looked
at you.
"You will," they nodded. "Yes, you can too."
The
Moral of the Story Poem:
Eat and wash and clean with care,
Listen well and learn to share.
Try your best and do not quit,
Rest your body bit by bit.
Small good habits help you grow,
More than you will ever know.
I can and I will help dreams begin,
Again tomorrow, try again.
