Choose your words wisely
The following is an excerpt from my book titled
"As I was walking God was talking and this is what he
said".
This is the sixth post in a 6 part series covering the
following topics....
Fatherhood (posted on December 15)
Our choice of words one to another. (Todays post)
Several years ago I spent a great deal of time walking and
as I walked I carried a notebook and a pen. I received what I know to be Devine
inspiration from God. What you are about to read is what God would like us all
to hear. I believe God gave me these words to write down so that I might share
them with the world. God our Father in Heaven wants us all to know he Loves us
and he also wants us all to know that Love is much more than never having to
say you are sorry.
God Bless one and all.
Matthew on our choice of
words
Matthew 15:11, 18-20) Make a tree good and its fruits will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruits will be bad. For a tree is recognized by its fruits (we are the tree). You brood of vipers, how can you that are evil say anything that is good. For out of the overflow of the heart the mouths speak. The good man brings good things out of the good that is stored up in him and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you man will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned.
So critically important,
the words we choose to say one to another!
We have to watch what we say very carefully, we need to be slow to anger, have patience and not say things that we will later regret. Our mouth and our tongue are used by Satan to cause pain, misery and suffering to others and to our self. Think before you speak! Ask yourself this question.
Is what I am about to say good and thus from the Lord or evil and thus from Satan.
Choose your words carefully, they can destroy a relationship in no time.
If you have an issue with someone it is much better to bring your issue before the Lord in prayer than to lash out at one another later regretting that which was said.
Words are easily spoken but not soon forgiven.
You must be very, very careful when speaking to others, choose your words wisely and you will not become a fool.
Before you speak
Slow down - remain calm.
Don't raise your voice -Talk in your normal voice
Listen, Listen, Listen
There once was a wise old owl, the more he saw, the less he spoke. The less he spoke, the more he heard, why can't we be like that old bird.
Never say anything that you will later regret.
Don't intentionally hurt someone else with your words, please don't do this.
If it is to difficult for you to curb your tongue, leave.
