The Love of the Lord
Doubt (todays post)
Our choice of words one to another.
You will love today’s post.
Several years ago I spent a great deal of time walking and
as I walked I carried a notebook and a pen. I received what I know to be Devine
inspiration from God. What you are about to read is what God would like us all
to hear. I believe God gave me these words to write down so that I might share
them with the world. God our Father in Heaven wants us all to know he Loves us
and he also wants us all to know that Love is much more than never having to
say you are sorry.
Please take time to reflect on the words given to me by
God our Father in Heaven. God has instructed me to tell you that he would like
to ask each of you to take the time to read these multiple times until they
really soak into your conscience. He knows that by doing this, you will change
your life forever. You will also change the lives of everyone around you.
Enjoy what God our Father in Heaven has provided me as a
gift to you and to all those you know.
God Bless one and all.
Whenever you are
confused about anything, get on your knees and pray to the Lord to receive
understanding.
As mortal men we will never figure out the designs of our adversary.
Since the death of Christ, no one on this earth has walked in perfection.
We are all subject to sin.
The evil one uses us all from time to time to deceive others and weaken their relationship with the Lord.
He is very cunning and uses trickery and craftiness to deceive even the most righteous.
His pursuit of evil within each of us is never ending.
If Satan leads you to question or doubt yourself or others he has gained a foothold.
Don’t be deceived by Satan, his designs are pure evil. He uses each of us to deceive one another. He puts thoughts of insecurity into our heads. He is the one who created the concept of low self -esteem, self -worth and respect.
Matthew 14:31 – You of little faith, Jesus said, why do you doubt. Matthew 21:21, 22 – Jesus said I tell you the truth if you have faith and do not doubt. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer. Mark 11:23, 24 – Have faith in God Jesus said. I tell you the truth if anyone says to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believes what he says will happen it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. James 1:6 – He must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave on the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Jude: 22 – Be merciful to those who doubt.
Doubt – to be uncertain or sure about. To tend to distrust or disbelieve. A lack of certainty or conviction. An uncertain state of affairs. Synonyms – doubtfulness, dubiety, question, skepticism, uncertainty.
Doubtfulness – not sure, uncertain. Of uncertain outcome, undecided. Equivocal in nature or character, questionable.
Question – an expression of inquiry requiring or inviting an answer, an unresolved matter or problem. Uncertainty, doubt.
Skepticism – a doubting or questioning attitude. The philosophical doctrine that the attainment of absolute knowledge is impossible.
Skeptic – one who habitually doubts or questions.
Uncertainty – not sure, doubtful. Not yet determined or settled. Likely to change, variable. Not capable of knowing in advance.
Some people are prone to doubt or disbelief, take Doubting Thomas for example. Even though he was told by countless others who he trusted that Jesus had been resurrected from the dead, he would not believe them until he had put his hands through the nail holes left in his wrist and feet.
John 20:25 – Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were and put my hand on my side, I will not believe it. Jesus said in verse 27 – Put your finger here, see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe. Verse 29 – Because you have seen me you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.
Doubt is a lack of faith
or belief.
The Lord calls us to stop
doubting and believe.
When others doubt, question, are skeptical, are uncertain, what they are displaying is a lack of faith.
Satan is the prince of darkness and one of his evil under links is a notion called doubt, uncertainty and fear.
Doubt is the opposite of
faith.
Trust and believe in the Lord, he will not let you down.
Matthew 8:25, 26 – Jesus calms the storm. Lord saves us! We are going to drown. He replied you of little faith, why are you so afraid. Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves and it was completely calm.
When it seems like your world is crashing in on you, have faith and believe in the name of Jesus, he is capable of helping you weather any storm life has to offer you.
Jesus walked on water. Matthew 14:30-32 – But when he (Peter) saw the wind, he was afraid and began to sink, cried out, oh Lord save me. Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith, he said, why did you doubt? And then he climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
If Thomas an apostle, all of the apostles and Peter an apostle all had doubts and questions regarding their faith and saw Jesus, how difficult is it for us to believe and have faith never having seen Jesus.
Jesus said blessed are they that have never seen, who trust and believe in the Lord, who love and serve the knowledge with all their heart, faithfully with expectation, who obey and never doubt.
It is not easy to have absolute, total and complete faith, belief and trust in the Lord; however it is possible to get close through prayer and obedience to his word.
When in doubt, pray out
loud!
When in fear, don’t
despair, Jesus is near!
When uncertain, lift the
curtain that hides your eyes, which make you wise.
And when all else fails, pray and have faith and believe that Jesus will answer your prayers. Thank you Lord for this time together, thank you for the insight. Thanks you Jesus for your sacrifice on the cross, thanks to you Holy Spirit for your guidance and counsel, thank you all for your love. I love you all, Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ. I humble myself before you and submit myself to your will.
Tomorrows post reminds us of the importance of choosing our words carefully.
