Jemma the Jellyfish Journeys with Jesus

Moral
of the Story
Faith is what keeps us steady when
the waves of life try to toss us around.
Even when we cannot see where we are going, Jesus is always with us, guiding
our way. We may not have control over the currents or storms, but we can trust
the One who calms the sea. When we let fear drift away and hold on to faith,
peace fills our hearts and courage fills our spirit. No matter how deep or dark
the waters seem, God’s light will always shine through. When we journey with
Jesus, we never drift alone.
Deep beneath the sparkling blue sea,
where the sunlight danced like diamonds on the water, lived a gentle jellyfish
named Jemma. She had a soft, glowing body that shimmered with colors,
pink, gold, and lavender, like the morning sunrise.
Jemma loved to float peacefully
among the coral gardens, watching the fish dart playfully in and out of the
rocks. But sometimes, when the ocean currents grew strong, she felt frightened.
One morning, as she drifted near a
reef, the water began to swirl faster than usual. The waves rolled overhead,
and a strong current tugged at her soft, flowing tentacles.
“Oh no,” she whispered. “The tide is
changing. What if I’m swept away?”
Her friend Toby the Turtle
swam by, steady and strong. “Hold on, Jemma!” he called. “Stay calm. The tide
will pass.”
But Jemma trembled. “I can’t swim
like you, Toby. I just drift wherever the water takes me.”
Toby smiled kindly. “Then trust the
One who made the water, Jemma. Jesus keeps the sea in His hands.”
Jemma blinked. “Jesus? But how can
He hold all this?”
Toby nodded. “He holds the ocean,
the sky, and even you. You may not have fins or a shell, but He gave you light.
Let that light shine, and you’ll never be lost.”
The current grew stronger, swirling
and pulling her into deeper water. The coral disappeared, and everything grew
darker. Jemma’s glow flickered faintly as she whispered, “Jesus… if You can
hear me, please stay with me.”
The waves tossed her this way and
that, but Jemma remembered Toby’s words. She closed her eyes and imagined Jesus
calming the stormy sea, just like He did for His disciples. Slowly, her fear
began to fade.
When she opened her eyes, she
noticed something beautiful. Even in the deep water, her light still shone. It
wasn’t very bright, but it was enough to see by.
“I guess even here, You’re with me,”
she whispered. “Thank You, Jesus.”
As the current carried her farther
out, she began to hum a soft little song she made up as she drifted:
🎵
When the waves roll high and the waters roar,
I’ll trust in Jesus forevermore.
He guides my heart, He calms my sea,
I’ll float in faith, for He loves me.

Hours later, the current slowed, and
the sea grew still again. Jemma looked around. She was far from home, near a
rocky cove she had never seen before. The water glowed softly with tiny
creatures that twinkled like stars.
“Where am I?” she wondered aloud.
“Welcome to the Starlight Cove!”
said a friendly voice. It was Piper the Parrotfish, who shimmered with
green and blue scales. “You must be new here!”
“I got caught in a current,” Jemma
said. “I was scared, but I prayed, and Jesus helped me stay calm.”
Piper smiled. “Then He brought you
here on purpose. We’ve been waiting for someone who can light the deep water.”
“Me?” Jemma asked, surprised. “But
I’m small.”
Piper nodded. “Yes, but your light
reaches places ours cannot. There are baby fish hiding in the dark rocks who
are too afraid to come out. Maybe your light can help them feel safe.”
Jemma floated closer to the rocks
and began to glow brighter. Little by little, tiny fish peeked out from their
hiding places, their eyes wide with wonder.
“It’s beautiful!” one whispered.
“It feels warm,” said another.
“It’s Jesus’ light,” Jemma said
softly. “He shines through me.”
Soon, the cove filled with laughter
and movement. The young fish swam in circles, darting through the coral as
Jemma’s gentle glow lit the water.
That evening, Toby the Turtle
finally found her. “There you are!” he said. “I was worried!”
Jemma smiled. “I’m okay. Jesus
carried me here. I was scared at first, but He helped me shine even in the
deep.”
Toby nodded proudly. “I told you, He
holds the sea and everything in it. You found your purpose, Jemma.”
Jemma looked around at the bright,
peaceful cove and felt joy fill her heart. “I think I did,” she said.
From that day on, Jemma the
Jellyfish was known as the “Light of the Deep.” Whenever the waters grew rough,
she sang her song of faith, reminding everyone who passed by that Jesus never
leaves us, not even in the stormiest sea.
And whenever the ocean grew dark,
her gentle light glowed softly through the waves, whispering her favorite
truth:
🎵
When the waves roll high and the waters roar,
I’ll trust in Jesus forevermore.
He guides my heart, He calms my sea,
I’ll float in faith, for He loves me.

Poem
When waves grow strong and skies
turn gray,
Remember, God will lead the way.
He calms the sea, He lights the deep,
His promises are ours to keep.
Through storm or stillness, fear or peace,
His love for you will never cease.
So when you drift, don’t be afraid,
Your faith in Jesus will not fade.
