Fathers - Further instruction

 

 As fathers we are called to instruct our children about God and our Lord Jesus.

1.    Nature of God – who is he, why is he important.

2.    Nature of Jesus – who is he and why is he important. Why did he come to earth, what was the purpose in his death, his resurrection.

3.    Nature of the Holy Spirit, what is the Holy Spirit, what purpose does he serve.

4.    Purpose of prayer, why do we pray, to whom do we pray, through whom do we pray, how do we pray, what do we pray for. Answers to prayer.

5.    Why are we here, where do we go after death.

6.    Why should we follow and obey the commandments and Heavenly Father's commands.

7.    What will happen if we don’t – what are the consequences related to misbehaving.

8.    What will happen if we do obey – God's promises.

9.    What is faith, hope, and love.

10.  Why are we called to love and serve our God with all our heart and soul.

That is a start.

1.    Who is God our Heavenly Father – Genesis 1:1 – God created the heavens and the earth and all that is on earth and in the heavens. Genesis 1:77 – God created man in his own image, he created you and me.

2.    Who is Jesus, Jesus is the son of God – Matthew 1:21 – She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins.
