Judge,
worry, compare, conform, play, compete, the will of the Lord.
How
can we do the will of the Lord when we are busy doing our own will?
1 Corinthians 2:10 these are the
things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things,
even the deep things of God
I am who I am, I
am not who you think I should be. Or how they think I should be.
1 Corinthians
2:10
– The spirit searches all things, even
the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except
the man’s spirit within him?
Compare – to represent
as similar or equal, liken. To examine so as to note the likeness or
differences of.
Conform – to make or
become similar in form or character, correspond. To act or to be in compliance.
To act in accordance with prevailing modes or customs.
Compliance – acquiescence
to a rule, request, demand etc. A tendency or disposition to yield to others.
Are we here to
do the will of men or of God?
Who
knows the will of God for each of us but God himself?
He
reveals his will to us through the Holy Spirit.
We
should never compare ourselves to one another and we should never compare two
people as though they were one.
We
are not objects, we are people with the ability to think, reason, love, solve
problems, feel, and dream and most importantly when we die, receive eternal
life in heaven.
We
are not put on this earth to conform, to comply with the world’s standards.
We
should not let the world set standards for us; we should let the Lord set the
standards for us.
I
think it is put beautifully in 1
Corinthians 2:10 – For who among men
knows the thoughts of a man except the mans spirit within him.
None
of us should presume or assume that we know the thoughts of another man.
None
of us should attempt to change another man unless specifically requested and
even then we should be careful.
When
we stop conforming, we start living.
We
are no longer living for others, but for our self.
We
have been given free will, use it.
Choose life, not
death.
When
someone says to you well “they say,” ask them who they are?
Even
though they may who they are, don’t listen to them, listen to our Lord and
savior.
If
you have a question about life, bring it to the Lord, not other men.
We
need to play by the rules set by men, especially those governing the laws of
our Lord.
Our
Lord specifically states that we are to obey the laws of the land.
I
am not referring to conformity as it relates to governmental laws but to those
laws prescribed by men who supposedly are in the know on human behavior.
Don’t
run with the crowd, be your own person, be a man or woman of integrity!
Don’t
compare yourself to others, stop analyzing who you are and start accepting who
you are.
Stop
reading self-help books and start reading the scriptures.
Comparing
yourself or someone else comparing you to another is a sin.
Don’t
do it, stay away from this like a bad sickness.
Accept
others for who they are, don’t try to change them, pray to our Heavenly Father
and let him do the changing.
We
are asked to love and serve not compare and change.
Amen.
