Balance
theory of life
The
center of our life is our Heavenly Father followed by his son Jesus Christ.
Everything we do in life centers around them and they should be included in
everything we do. We need to make sure we keep the above areas in balance with
one enough.
Consider
that each four of these is on a pulley so that if we pull from one area, it
draws or pulls from the other areas. Too much work (vocation) takes away from
the other three areas, maybe proportionally maybe disproportionably. Likewise
too much physical exercise will draw you away from the other three areas.
The
key is to keep all four areas in balance with one another keeping our center or
focus on our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ his son, our Lord, redeemer and
savior.
This is not a
one-time assessment but an every hour of every day assessment.
The
only way we will keep these four areas in balance with one another is through
the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We
need to pray continuously, find joy in everything, be content in every
circumstance and follow the command of the Lord.
It
is too easy to get out of balance and not even be aware of it.
Self-assessment
is critical if you are walking in the ways of the Lord, the Holy Spirit will
let you know if you are out of balance.
The
Lord instructs us not to seek self-gratification. Philippians 2:3 – Do nothing
out of self-ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better
than yourself. James 3:16 – For where you have envy and selfish
ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. Proverbs 18:1 – An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends, he defies all sound judgment.
We
are here to do the work and will of the Lord, not our own will and work. Be
mindful therefore not to seek after treasures on earth for yourself but seek to
satisfy the Lord by loving and serving his people.
Thank
you Lord for this bit of inspiration, I do like when you inspire me and I thank
you for letting my hand hold up long enough to jot down these thoughts. Praise
to you Lord Jesus Christ, I love you Lord.
Watch
over me today, may I be a beacon of light and bring joy into those around me. I
commit to doing your will and your work and getting my life in balance with you
as the center or focal point.
