Faith
Matthew 17:20 – If
you have faith as small as a mustard seed. 2 Chronicles 20:20 – Have
faith in the Lord, your God, and you will be upheld. Mark 11:22 – Have faith in
God, Jesus answered. Romans 3:22
– Righteousness from God comes through
faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. 2 Corinthians 5:7 – We live
by faith and not by sight. Faith is things hoped for but not seen.
Trust
Proverbs 78:28 – He who trusts in himself is a fool. Romans 9:33 – and one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame. Psalms 35:10 – the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts Him. Psalms 37:3 – Trust in the Lord and do good. 56:4 – In God I trust, I will
not be afraid, what can a mortal man do to me. Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the
Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your
ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
Faith – Belief in the
truth, value or trustworthiness of someone or something 2. Loyalty or
allegiance 3. Belief or trust in God.
Trust – Firm reliance
in the honesty, dependability, strength or character of someone or something 2.
One in which faith or confidence is placed 3. Reliance on something in the
future, hope 4. Something given into one's care for the benefit or interest of
another 5. To have or place confidence in 6. To believe.
Give
Matthew 3:34 – But when you give to the needy, do not let
your right hand know what your left hand is doing, so that your giving may be
in secret. Then your Father sees what is done in secret and will reward you.
2 Corinthians 8:7 – But just as you excel in everything – see
that you also excel in the grace of giving. 2 Corinthians 9:7 – Each man
should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under
compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver. Matthew 10:8 – Freely you
have received, freely give. Acts
20:35 – It is more blessed to give
than receive. Romans 12:8 – Give generously.
Give – to make a
present of 2. To furnish, provide 3. To accord or relinquish to another; yield.
Obey
2 John 1:6 – This is love that we walk in obedience to
his commands, his command is that you walk in love. Deuteronomy 13:4 – Obey Him
with all your heart. Psalm 119:34
– Obey with all your heart. Matthew 28:20 – Obey everything I have commanded. John 14:23 – Loves me, he will obey my teachings. Acts 5:29 – We must obey God rather than men.
Obey – to carry out
the instructions 2. To comply with a command.
Obedient – obeying or
willing to obey a command.
Are
you getting the picture, the Good Lord requires faith, obedience, trust and
charity. There is nothing in the scriptures which instructs us to look out for
#1, be selfish, be a taker, don’t think of others, and look out for one's own
interest. We are to do just the opposite. Thank you Lord for this time together
reading your scriptures. Praise and glory be yours my Heavenly Father. I love
you Lord Jesus.
