Expectations
or standards should be discussed, approved and accepted by all parties so that
there is accordance and unanimous participation. That way if there is a
violation of the standard each party is in agreement, the guilty party will
know they have breached the standard and the appropriate consequence can be
levied. Unwritten, un-posted, un-discussed, inexplicable, unknown, not
approved, accepted or understood standards or expectations cannot be expected to
be adhered to. How can you do something or obey some standard that you have no
clear, concise, acceptable understanding of?
Couples,
husbands and wives, parents to children, children to parents, and every other
relationship on this earth in order to survive in love and service must have a
set of standards approved and accepted unanimously by all parties. Anything not
spoken or discussed is said to not be part of the living contract. Each party
should clearly know what is expected of them (standard) and then if there is a
violation of the standard, each party will be aware of the violation and there
will be no confusion or arguing.
Argue – to offer
reasons for or against a debate. To try to prove by reasoning, maintain. To
engage in a quarrel, dispute. To influence or persuade.
Fight – to take part
in combat, to contend with – struggle. To argue or quarrel. To make ones way by
or as if to battle or combat. A conflict or struggle.
Heavenly
Father asks us to avoid conflict with one another, he instructs us to live in
harmony with one another
Romans 12:16 – he also said to do what is right in the eyes
of everyone. Romans 12:17 – and
then he said in Verse 18 – Live at peace with everyone. In 1 Deuteronomy 3:8 – he also instructs us to live in harmony with one another.
Harmony – accord or
agreement as of feelings and opinions. An agreeable combination of component
parts.
The Lord does
not want us to fight, argue or quarrel with one another. Instead he wants us to
live in peace and harmony. We see in the definition of harmony
that there is an accord or agreement as of feelings and opinions. If you have
an agreement or an accord then feelings and opinions need to have been
discussed (communicated), spoken about and there needs to be unanimous
acceptance and approval.
1. Harmony è Standard è been discussed è accepted and
approved è
Light è
Light è
Joy, Peace, Happiness
2. Conflict è Contention è Standard è not discussed è unknown,
unfamiliar, acceptance? è darkness è chaos,
confusion, crisis, pain, misery and suffering
Also
along with the second one (no. 2) comes mistrust, control, anger, jealousy,
despair, uncertainty, abandonment, feelings of being unloved, unwanted,
disrespected, taken advantage of, mistreated. It is better to live in peace and
harmony, discuss (communicate) your feelings or opinions, get a consensus as to
their acceptance and approval so that everyone is living in the light.
Knowledge – the fact or
state of knowing, understanding acquired through experience. The total or range
of what has been perceived or learned.
Know – to perceive
directly with the mind or senses. To believe to be true. To have an
understanding or experience of. To recognize or be familiar with.
Understand – to perceive
or comprehend the meaning and significance of. To be thoroughly familiar with

Understanding – ability to

Our
Heavenly Father first blessed us with knowledge, secondly with understanding
and thirdly with wisdom to discern what is right, true and enduring with what
we understand and know to be true, factual.
Pray for wisdom
and he will give you understanding and knowledge.
One
of the many Purposes for reading the Bible
A
few scriptures to take a look at……
2 Timothy
3:15-17
– You have known the Holy Scriptures
which is able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. All

training in righteousness. So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped
for every good work. 2 Timothy 4:7
– I have fought the good fight, I have
finished the race, and I have kept the faith. 1 Timothy 6:10 – For the love

crossed over from death to life. Romans
6:23 – for the wages of sin is death
but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
