Why
do I feel so…..
Why
do I feel so lonely, so alone, so unloved, so scared, so frightened, so
worthless, so ashamed, so nervous, so abandoned, so distrusting, so unsure, so
angry, so frustrated, so upset, so empty, so bitter, so hurt, so used, so
uncared for. Why do I think things are
so unfair? Why? Because everything you do for others comes with a price
tag. You expect others to fulfill your needs, wants and desires and when they
don’t you experience anger, frustration and pain. You also believe that by
giving your money, time, energy that others are therefore obligated to give you
something in return. When we don’t love
ourselves we look for others to fill the void.
Unfortunately, we believe or are led to believe that in order for
that void to be filled, so that we may experience love, we have to take from
others. To take or receive from others we have been taught to exchange
something for that which we have taken.
In order to receive we must give. False belief. We don’t or should
not expect anything from man, only from the Lord. When we expect anything of
worth or value from man, anything, we will be sadly disappointed because man is
incapable of fulfilling our needs. Only God can do that. We experience the
emotions listed above because we look to satisfy those emotions by other men,
not God. That just won’t happen, as long as we rely on man and not God to
fulfill us, we will continue to live an empty life, tossed to and fro by the
winds and whims of man. God is the same
yesterday, today and tomorrow. The same could not be said for man. It could be said for man that he will absolutely
be different yesterday, today and tomorrow. A man acting on his own,
attempting to control his own life in relationship to our society's ever
changing standards is lost. He is like a ship without a rudder, tossed from
wave to wave without a means of guidance or stability. God provides us guidance
(Holy Spirit) and ability (his son). We are in control of our destiny. Heavenly
Father has given us free will to choose his way or man’s way. We experience the
emotions listed above when we attempt to control our lives and the lives of
others by acts of service to which we attach duties, price tags and obligation.
We presume and expect that the world and others will exchange with us fairly
for that which we have given. This could
not be further from the truth. The world does not operate fairly, there are
no standards set, only a series of misguided beliefs and underlying set of
expectations. Put your faith in God,
not man! Man will be by nature and not necessarily by design let you down!
Man is incapable of satisfying our every need, want and desire and it is wrong
of us to believe that is even possible. There is just no way on this earth that
man could bring us everlasting peace, and joy, minute in and minute out, day in
and day out, year in and year out. We all change, grow, develop at different
rates. We all come to levels of wisdom, understanding and knowledge at
different times. Our minds and bodies and moods fluctuate and function based on
a vast array of stimulus. Take for example, the foods we eat, the amount of
sleep or exercise we get, the drugs we put in our bodies, the monthly rhythm or
cycle of our bodies. We are not the same
yesterday, today and tomorrow but God is. Control of yourself and others –
let go of it. Love the Lord with all your heart and soul, do his works (his
will for our lives), love your neighbor as yourself, resume a life of charity.
Abandon
your life of expectation, assumption, obligation, presumption, pretense,
insistence, requirement, indebtedness, supposition, affect, feign. Do not count
the cost of what ones owe you, what you believe is due to you. Do not look to
others to satisfy your needs, wants and desires, look no further than the
safety and surety of God's promises, tenets and covenants. Have a heart of
gratitude for that which you so freely have been given. Do not consider the
giving of your service as work which should receive payment but view it as a
gift, an act of kindness and charity.
There
is no “I” in team. You and the Lord are a team to bring about your own Eternal
Salvation and the salvation of man. You are not alone, you are part of a team
made up of your Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ our Lord and savior, our
comforter, guide, counselor and coach, the Holy Spirit and you. All act in
accordance with one another by bringing about the “will of the father, on earth
as it is in heaven.” Don’t forget that, we are here to do his will not our
will. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ. I love you my Heavenly Father.
We
are called to minister to all men, to bring then the light and truth of our
Lord Jesus Christ. To cry repent to all and to be baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the
laying on of hands. Heavenly Father will provide us with his continual light
and truth, wisdom and knowledge as we desire to bring about his work (his
will). When we walk in accordance to his will, his commandments, and his
commands and pray with full belief and have faith and petition him with the
guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit he will hear our prayers, answer our
prayers and bring into our lives joy, peace and happiness. The key is to give
God the glory, honor and praise, to walk humbly, not boast or to be prideful.
For we do his work, to bring about the salvation of men not for our glory but
his. We are not called to receive the recognition, praise and reward, those all
go to God. We have the privilege of serving him, being his servant. We have the
awesome responsibility to walk uprightly before him, bring about his kingdom on
earth as it is in heaven and if we do this we will store up treasures in heaven
and not on earth. Thank you Lord for this further insight and knowledge granted
to me by your gift through the Holy Spirit. I love you Lord, my neighbor and
myself. Praise and glory go to you –
