Nobody
cares about me
Nobody
cares about me, nobody loves me; these are seeds, negative seeds founded in the
devil. Nobody wants me, nobody needs me, nobody recognizes me, nobody
understands me, and nobody appreciates me. We could substitute nobody with a
name, any name of any person. When we do this, we give them control over us. We
think, say and do as they would have us do. The infamous they, they know what
is best for us, they will know how to comfort us, they will know how to bring
joy and happiness into our lives. The truth be told, regardless of who loves
us, we do not need to seek their approval - See 10 A’s and 2 R’s. 1. We are
called to love the lord with all our heart. Matthew 22:38 – We also know
that God so loved us that he sent his only begotten Son. John 3:16 – To die on the cross for
us so that we might be saved. Heavenly Father loves us Peter 3:12 – Disciplines those he loves. 2 Corinthians 9:7 – God loves a cheerful
giver. I’ll come back to this.
Suffice
it to say Jesus loves us, Heavenly Father loves us. Heavenly Father said we
would be hated because we love him Matthew
10:22 – All men will hate you because
you love me. He calls us a peculiar people - see marvelous work and wonder,
a strange people. Others will not understand us for we seek not their approval,
we are not driven as the wind drives the sea. We will be a lit candle for all
to see whereby the gale force of a hurricane wind could not put out our flame.
We
are called to build our foundation on the rock of Jesus Christ – in Psalms 18:2 – it states he is my rock, my fortress, my
deliverer, my God is my rock in whom I take refuge. When we look to others
for acceptance, approval etc., we lead a life with misery and pain for we will
never meet their expectations of us, never. We could never be the end all to
anyone and if we were we are probably led into destruction from the devil. We
cannot be responsible for other’s happiness and joy, their salvation. Each of
us has free will to do, think and say what we will. By building our rock of
Jesus foundation, by developing faith that he will bring to pass our eternal
life, happiness and salvation, by looking to him for love, we can begin to eliminate
the outside influences of those around us. We are not put in this life to
please others, we are here to please our Heavenly Father.
He
asks us to pray unceasingly, read and study his word, fellowship and meet
often, obey his commandments, be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,
love and serve him, and in serving him will be serving others. We are called to
love God and serve the Lord and in doing so we will love and serve our Lord’s
people for he said love your neighbor as yourself. Heavenly Father asks us to
seek his guidance not the guidance of others.
Pray
1 Thessalonians 5:17 – Be joyful always, pray
continually. Heavenly Father also tells us that anything we ask in prayer
and believe and have faith, we will receive it. Mark 11:24 – His ears are attentive to our prayers. 1 Peter 3:17 – He will hear us. If we have faith, hope, and love and charity. If
we obey his commandment and build our life on the rock of Jesus foundation. If
we pray continuously, Heavenly Father will hear our prayer and guide us in our
thoughts, words and deeds through his Comforter, The Holy Spirit. Ask and you
shall receive, knock and it shall be opened. Matthew
7:7. 8 Acts 20:35 – It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Matthew 10:8 – Freely you have
received, freely you should give.
Heavenly
Father is the one who brings joy and happiness into our life, not others, when
we are in the service of others, when we love our wives, children, and
neighbors and serve them unconditionally, without expectation, we begin to find
joy, the true meaning of life. No longer will we be filled with misery and
sadness, despair, wondering, yearning to know what it will take to bring joy
into our lives. The pain of living, of our imperfect existence, bodies will
mean nothing when we finally come to the realization that we are on this earth
to love and serve the Lord. As a consequence of that, we will love ourselves,
accept ourselves, and take pride in ourselves. 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19, 2 Corinthians 6:16, 19 – We are our Lord’s Holy Temple and love our
neighbor as ourselves. We are called to give our Lord the praise,
the glory, we are called to fear him and humble ourselves
before him. We are not to be filled with pride or boast of our
accomplishments. We are to give him the credit. By and through the Holy Spirit,
we are directed or guided in our thoughts, words and actions. If they be good,
we should thank you, Heavenly Father for his blessing we received and give him
the credit. He works through us to accomplish his will through us – see the Lord’s
Prayer – his will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We are simply
the vessel he has chosen to accomplish his will on this earth. We need to honor
our Heavenly Father. Anything thought, spoken or done that is not good is of
the devil. We are not called to receive our reward on this earth, we are called
to store up our treasures (rewards) in heaven.
D&C 100:5, 6
– Speak the thoughts – what to say. D&C 8 – Holy Ghost will shed
forth. D&C 101:7, 8 – Heavenly Father wants us to pray to him in
the good times not only the bad. 37:
Care not of the body, but for the
soul. 38: Seek the face of the Lord always.
I
thought I would begin writing down some scriptures from D&C and before I
knew it I was bored with it. I will reread D&C another time and will
underline the verses that jump out at me.
I
want to take a look at some of the words listed above – go to page 6. I was
reading the Doctrine and Covenants and several verses seemed to leap off the
page to me. There was D&C 88:19 – Organize yourselves, prepare every needful thing, establish a house,
even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of
learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God. D&C 88:123 – See that you love one another, cease to be covetous, learn to impart
one to another as the gospel requires. D&C
90:18 – Set in order your house, keep
slothfulness and un-cleanliness far from you. D&C 90:24 - Search
diligently, pray always and be believing and all things shall work for thy
good… D&C 93:40 – But I have commanded you to bring up your
children in the light and truth. D&C
101:2 – I, the Lord have suffered the affliction to come upon them, wherewith
they have been afflicted in consequence of their transgression.
I
don’t like how this letter is started, so I have decided not to send it.
However, these scriptures did jump off the page, especially the one about
putting your house in order. Your house could be considered your body, your
temple. It does say to organize yourself, it also says to love one another, and
lastly pray always. I commit to keeping my house in your, by the Grace of our
Lord, Jesus Christ and the power of his Holy Spirit, I will be a man of the
Lord, filled with joy and happiness. Thank you Lord for my life, praise to you
Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
