If
we don’t know the truth of our feelings, expressing them falsely could be
viewed as disobedience to our Heavenly Father.
We
are called not to covet (covet – to
desire enviously that which belongs to another) (to crave) anything (any
object, occurrence or matter whatever) that belongs (to be owned by someone, to
be part of a mutual association with something) to our neighbor. Isn’t each of
us responsible? Don’t we need to take ownership, aren’t we in control or charge
of our own feelings and emotions. To follow the Lord’s commandment, we are
called not to impose our will on others by a manipulative imposition of
emotions and feelings. Each of us needs to take responsibility of our feelings,
if we desire to share them, let’s share them with the Lord in humble and
contrite prayer.
He
will bring us the joy we seek, not men.
We
need to stop imposing our feelings on others with the expectation that by doing
so we will somehow receive joy. We have a responsibility to see that others do
not stumble in their walk with the Lord because of our behavior. 1 Corinthians 10:32 Do not cause anyone to stumble. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 – it states so whether you eat, drink or whatever
you do, do it for the Glory of God. When we attempt to share
our feelings and emotions with others in an attempt to burden them consciously
or unconsciously are we doing that for the Glory of God? Or man? I think you
know the answer – MAN! Think before you speak! Be conscious of your every word,
thought and deed, is it glorifying God? Or man? Praise to you, Lord Jesus
Christ. Thank you Heavenly Father for this guidance and instruction.
