Take one day at a time

Take one day at a time

Psalms 118:24This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. ProverbsDo not boast about tomorrow for you do not know what a day may bring forth. Matthew 6:11Give us this day our daily bread. This is the day the Lord has made let me rejoice and be glad in it.

I will live this day as though it is my last, I will stay positive,

I will not let my tongue speak negative about anyone or anything.

I will not be critical, or cynical,

I will make sure that my thoughts, words and deeds are honest and pure.

I commit to loving my neighbor as myself.

I love you Lord.

Watch over my children today; provide then the strength and energy they need to live this day with joy and happiness in their hearts.

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ, King of all creation.

It is important to remain positive in mind, spirit and attitude.

I cannot let the evil and the viciousness of the world and all its negativity and complaining overcome my joy and happiness which comes from loving and serving the Lord.

Misery truly loves company.

Well I would rather be all alone on a deserted island than to be in the company of misery.

Misery – a state of suffering as that caused by poverty, wretchedness. A source or cause of suffering, affliction or emotional distress.

Suffer – to endure or feel distress or pain. To sustain damage, injury or loss. To be or seem to be at a disadvantage. To undergo, experience. To permit, allow.

Pain – physical or mental suffering especially an unpleasant sensation arising from injury or disease.

Positive – indicating affirmation, approval or acceptance. Constructive, helpful. Absolutely certain, confident. Incapable of being doubted or disapproved.

Negative – indicating refusal, denial, contradiction or disapproval. Not constructive or helpful. Not confident, unsure of one’s self. A negative statement, idea or action.

Attitude – a state of feeling or mind about a person or situation. A position of the body or manner of carrying oneself, posture. Yesterday I wrote about reaping what you sow but I think it bears repeating.

2 Corinthians 9:6Who ever sows sparingly, will also reap sparingly and who ever sows generously will also reap generously. Proverbs 11:18The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. Proverbs 22:8He who sows wickedness reaps trouble. It pays to have a good attitude, a positive attitude, to be optimistic versus pessimistic.

Optimism – a disposition to expect the best possible outcome or to emphasize the most positive aspects of a situation.

Pessimism – a tendency to take the least hopeful view, as of a situation, or to anticipate the worst.

The optimistic person always sees the positive in every situation. They are the ones who are always laughing, smiling and finding the joy out of every situation. They bring people up, not down; they are a delight to be around. They are extroverted and not introverted.

Extrovert – one who is socially outgoing and communicative.

Introvert – one who is chiefly concerned with one’s own mental life rather than friends and social activities.

The Lord will accept is any way we are,

but as we see in Psalms 118:24we are to rejoice and be glad.

Rejoice – to be joyful.

Glad – experiencing or displaying or affording joy, pleasure and happiness.

In 1 Thessalonians 5l: 16we are commanded to “Be joyful always.”

Joy – great happiness, delight. A source of happiness.

The Lord desires us to be happy, to rejoice, to look on the bright side of life, to be extroverted, positive, optimistic, a dreamer, joyful always.

Negativity brings us down, so does being introverted and pessimistic.

It is always important to find the best in every situation, you will be much happier.

Sound easier said than done? Nonsense!

You choose each and every moment of each and every day how you will feel about something.

Choose this day to stay positive, optimistic, extroverted, happy, and joyful.

Everyone else in life is wallowing in self-pity, criticism, cynicism and negativity, stay about from this; it will rob you of your joy, peace and happiness.

Don’t follow the crowd, you are different, you don’t need to be liked by those in the world who don’t know the love in fact the Lord says in Matthew 10:22 – All men will hate you because of me.

People who live in this world are sad, miserable, in pain; suffering and they hate all of those around them that they cannot drag down with them into their misery.

Remember those who do not know the Lord absolutely without a doubt live with pain, misery and suffering.

Pray for them, befriend them, be a positive influence, but don’t lower your standard, don’t let them rob you of your joy, don't participate when the conversation turns negative, in fact try to steer it back into looking at the positive side of the situation.

Remember if you choose not to participate in negativity with negative people you will feel like an outcast.

Don’t worry; there are plenty of fish in the sea, go find other friends.

It doesn’t pay to stay around negative people; they will only bring you down.

You will never get ahead in life hanging around them.

Surround yourself with positive, upbeat, optimistic people who have a vision or goal for their life.

People who are dedicated, motivated, honest, hardworking, successful, driven, focused, ready to take on the world.

The Lord loves us and wants to see us happy.

Even in a difficult situation we can still remain happy.

Look on the bright side of life.

Thank you Lord for this day, for my life and for this situation I am in.

As for me and my house we will choose to see the glass half full rather than half empty.

Praise to Lord Jesus Christ. I love you Lord.

Amen.
